If you like or love music and art, and enjoy our great outdoors, chances are you would immensely enjoy one of Trails & Vistas Art Hikes. There are two upcoming in September: on the 12th, at Spooner Lake in Tahoe’s Nevada State Park, and on the 19th, at Donner Summit, Donner Ski Ranch in Truckee.
On Saturday, September 12, starting at 9 a.m., you can take in the vista that we know as Spooner Lake. Whether general admission at $45 per person, or Children’s admission, at only $12, this will be an amazing event. Imagine being out in nature, hiking a 2 ¾ mile trail, hearing music or poetry, watching dance, or gazing at art. And the music? In a word: wow! The Pacific Mambo Orchestra is a Grammy Award-winning music company. They’re a true Big Band, and in fact, one of the best Latin Big Band Orchestras on the planet. A trio from this band will deliver salsa heat for you while you’re on this Art Hike. But they are not the only ones who will serenade you! For a complete list of all of the artists, musicians and otherwise, at both this and the September 19th event, please visit this page.
