Bust out your shovels, winter gear and snow blowers, winter is coming!!
Something BIG is in the weather works for the Truckee/Tahoe area! Word on the street is that a storm is headed this way that is COLD and fierce, creating the most accumulation we’ve seen in 8 years (for November that is).
With snow accumulation for November at 13″ so far, there is only 75 more inches to go to get where the 2002 epic month took us. At lake level expect temps in the 25-30 range with 18″ to 3 feet of accumulation and 7500 feet and above expect cooler temps at 15-20 degrees with 3-5 feet of snow. This is BIG for a storm prior to Thanksgiving. Those Turkey Trots and Flag Football games may be different than previous years where you could burn off those pre-Turkey Day calories in a t-shirt.
