Directly from the The Tap Calendar comes the 26th Annual Foam Fest, Craft Beer Tasting and Live Music. The date is Saturday, September 5, 2015. The events – of which, yes, beer is the main one – begin at 2 p.m. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. at the Squaw Valley KT Sundeck. What’s on tap for the day? In fact, there will be beer from 40 different breweries, including Knee Deep Brewing and Ballast Point. Unlimited tastings! In addition, the Dead Winter Carpenters and Zebuel’s Smoked Out Soul will provide the music. You can enter contests for the chance to win a Tahoe Local Pass, and more. If you’re a fan of micro-breweries, probably the largest growth sector for beer these days, and if you don’t mind walking a bit to get your sample or quaff a pint, then you’ll enjoy the next Northstar Brew Walk event, taking place on Saturday, September 5, 2015, from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Village. Tickets are $25 in advance, or $32 the day of. The price includes several micro-brews, food sampling, and a commemorative glass. For this event, please note that all participants must be 21 years of age or older, and valid ID must be in hand. Your check-in and walk begins at the ticket office, opposite the skating rink.
