Activities abound in the Truckee area to add to your personal July 4th entertainment around Truckee.
The traditional Fourth of July party at West End beach is a day-long party with swimming, music, games, picnicking and fireworks at night. Tickets are $6.00 each and are reserved only for residents of the Truckee-Donner Recreation and Park District. Provide proof of residence and buy your tickets ahead of time. For non-residents, you can still enjoy a day at the lake boating or fishing and watch the fireworks at night.

The annual Truckee Firecracker Mile Run starts in downtown Truckee and is meant for all ages. It’s a gradual, gravity-fed course that helps the young and old alike enjoy the cheers of thousands of parade spectators prior to the Fourth of July parade. The gun goes off at 9:45 sharp, so wear your favorite running shoes and be prompt!
The Fourth of July Truckee Parade happens from 10 AM through 1 PM, winding down Donner Pass Road through the heart of downtown Truckee. For more details, contact the Chamber of Commerce at 530-587-8808.
