I couldn’t help myself today, it was so beautiful out! I left work early to get outside and enjoy the warmth and the sun light. Is it just from the contrast of such a big winter that everyone was smiling at each other? I don’t know, but the energy out there in Truckee was palpable. I took my grand dog Action, who just got a hair cut by the way, on a walk along the Truckee River. We crossed the River at the end of East River Street, taking the long bridge that connects up to Regional Park. From there we headed along the Legacy Trail. What a fabulous walk that is. The trail was extended last fall and it is awesome! We walked to the end of the new addition and I am so looking forward to the continued extension. It is beautiful! There were folks all over the place. They were running, biking, walking and even roller blading. We took the short single track loop down along the Truckee River as we were winding our way back to the car. This is such an amazing place to live and recreate. I never would have guessed a month ago I’d be walking along the River, throwing the tennis ball for a dog who was happy to swim in the River. Weren’t we just shoveling three feet of fresh snow? You’ve got to love it!!!!
