“This is how life is supposed to be.” Do you want the freedom to be yourself? Then you want to visit or live in Truckee-Tahoe. Every person is a story, and every story is unique. And Tahoe University? It’s to Truckee/North Lake Tahoe what you are to the area. Their story is your story. Here, there are “No Bad Days”. Want to know more? We thought so…
You can go to Tahoe University to learn things: about the right kind of yoga pants to wear, for example. But it’s not a school of higher education. It’s a retail store, offering furniture, design ideas, and more. This is the new business in town, and it offers a lot!
Located on West River Street in Truckee, at the historic Star Hotel, Tahoe University is family-owned. It’s a lifestyle brand. And the location is the brand’s “flagship brick & mortar boutique.” It is family friendly, just as our area is. What would complement your personal Tahoe story? Here’s a few items you may want to look at when you visit:
- Furniture and home goods
- Kids clothing
- Women’s apparel
- Yoga wear
The owners say that their online shop “is a small teaser of what we carry in-store.” We’ll let you be the judge, but we found much to offer at their online store, and it was very easy to browse and filter our results.
You know “the healing effects” that the Truckee-Tahoe lifestyle bring. So do cousins Erin Wilkinson, Sarah Bormann and Marne Bormann. They are the founders of Tahoe University. In capturing what we’re about here, how we think, the founders have two key desires: to support local talent, charities, and philanthropic organizations, and to help you ‘clothe’ yourself in “your unique Tahoe story”.
It’s a great location, as you may know already. Want to linger a bit? In addition to being open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., they have complimentary Wi-Fi on their rather large patio. They’re user friendly. They’re family friendly. And they are here for us in more ways than you could imagine. We suggest you take a look at their event calendar, for example, to find out the kinds of things they organize or participate in. At time of writing, they were talking about the Donner Party Hike, which took place on October 8 & 9 just past. To find out more about their events, please point your browser to their events link. They already have at least one event planned for mid-November, their Women’s Wellness Weekend.
If you’re one of those active and interested people who always want to find out the latest, you may want to look up Tahoe University on one of their several social media channels: they’re on Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter to name three of the five.
