Skier? Foodie? Like them both? Like helping local charities too? The upcoming Taste of Truckee has you covered!
During this year’s event, taking place at 12 pm on March 20, 2016 at the Tahoe Donner Cross Country Ski Area, Tahoe Donner is offering you all all-day ski pass, admission, and pointers from experienced instructors. This snow/food affair takes place from noon-3 p.m. For $35 (only $20 for kids), you and/or your friends and family can hit the trails. You can bring your own gear, or rent inexpensively on site. Portions of the proceeds go to the Tahoe Food Hub and the Far West Nordic Ski Education Association. Get healthy, enjoy yourself, and help others!
The dual-themes of Taste of Truckee include, of course, food! Gourmet food, as it happens. You’re already an outdoors enthusiast and adventurer. You probably love good food too. And there will be wine. This is the third year for what’s billed as a “snow gourmet food and wine event”. A variety of food samples from our local restaurants will be available. For anyone 21 years or older, you’ll be able to sample from a selection of wines as well.
This food, wine, and skiing experience gets better every year! In past years it’s included raffle tickets, and fun for kids as well. To find out more about Taste of Truckee’s 2016 event head directly to Tahoe Donner’s events page, found here. You can also give them a phone call at (530) 587-9484.
