Who supports our local farmers and their farms? You do. So does Truckee Community Farmers Market; it’s a “food and farms marketplace.” Slow Food Lake Tahoe and Sierra Valley Farms collaborated to make this possible for us, showcasing and supporting locally grown and artisan quality foods from local farms and producers operating within 125 miles of Truckee. This Farmers Market offers more than “local, fresh, sustainably produced goods”: it offers community and a way for us to gather and enjoy.
So the great news is: our new Farmers Market will open soon! Starting on Sunday, June 5, 2016 and running every Sunday through to September 25, it’s almost time to enjoy everything the Market offers. And that includes:
- Bakery items
- Meat and seafood
- Specialty foods
- Special events
In addition to supporting our local farmers, and supporting sustainable farming, you can feel secure in knowing the folks who organize and bring you this Farmers Market carefully screens all vendors. The end result, for you, is high quality products and a diverse marketplace.
