Mark your calendars for July 16-19, 2015, as Wanderlust Squaw Valley comes around again. As always, you will find something for body, mind, and spirit at this year’s festival. The organizers call it “an all-out celebration of mindful living.”
How do you stretch and get your meditation? Yoga classes for all kinds of interests and levels will be available during Wanderlust, including:
- Meditative yin classes
- Vigorous vinyasa
- Stand-up paddleboard or aerial yoga
In addition, the festival’s flagship venue offers the chance for you to experience the energy of hundreds of yogis at once, practice your yoga at the top of a mountain, or even drop into various intimate indoor classes. Here you’ll have local instructors as well as internationally recognized experts.
If you need to get your fitness on, you’ll have all sorts of challenging ways to do so. So much of nature’s beauty, and so many ways to explore it. You can get out on a trail for a hike or perhaps a run. There are mountain biking tours to be taken. Local guides are available to challenge your every physical whim.
This year’s schedule is jam-packed with events. Here’s a small sampling, taken from the first festival day:
- On Thursday, July 16, in the opening 8 a.m. timeslot alone, there are nine different activities! Some, like the Ninja Training 101, are already full. Others, like Yogarina Basics, still offer enrollment. Then there are numerous other programs at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., and every hour of the day right through to 9 p.m., where you can meet up for magical music at The Wanderlust Spectacular. So whether it’s running a 10K, listening to music, meditating, or enjoying some wonderful food, you’ll find something to suite your taste.
