We love our community and the events taking place here. There’s still lots to do in September, and early October, leading up of course to the spookiest time of the year. Here’s a sampling of some weekly events in Truckee by day of the week and date. We also included information on the annual not-to-be-missed Wine, Walk & Shop.
Tuesday in Truckee
Truckee Farmers’ Market. Every Tuesday, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., enjoy shopping for produce, fruit, and other goodies at this. Dates are good until the October 20. Check out their website, found here. Also on Tuesdays, if you’re 55+ years and fit, you may want to… take a hike! They take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., up to October 20, at various locations in our area. $13 will get you out the door. Friday in Truckee
Fridays are happening in our community!
- East Shore has their tasty wine and cheese tours on Fridays. Enjoy some of the best California wines and hors d’oeuvres. Head to thunderbirdtaheo.org for ticket information. From 5-7 p.m.
- Uncorked Truckee hosts a winemaker event. Check out teloswine.com for details.
- It’s Family Movie Night at the Northwoods Clubhouse from 6:30 p.m. Phone (530) 582-9669 for more information.
- Messy Family Fun at Kid Zone Museum from 10-11 am. They always have something fun to do starting with Fossil Making on September 25th. Get all the details on their website. http://www.kidzonemuseum.org
The 12th annual Wine, Walk & Shop. This year’s offering is on Saturday, October 3. No doubt, this is one of Truckee’s most outstanding annual events. Approximately 1,000 residents, and tourists, truck into Truckee to enjoy wine, good food, and shopping. For more information about this year’s event, visit their website.
