How would you like to spend the day with your pooch enjoying music, tasting beer or wine, shopping pet-related items and playing catch and hiking?
Grab the leash, your best friend(s), and plan to spend the day in the Village at Squaw on Saturday, August 27th! It’s a day that celebrates having four legs and a human!
The $5 entry fee goes to one of our favorite local charities, the Humane Society of Tahoe-Truckee. If you don’t have the companionship of a dog, you are still welcome to attend…. After all you may meet your next best friend at the adoption center! You’ll be entertained by some doggy antics and possibly be motivated to teach your dog a few new tricks! Entertainer JD Platt’s K9 Kings will be on hand to demonstrate lots of fun stunts.
There are lots of other dog-centric activities such as a guided hike, or fetch competition. In between events you can wander the artist’s booths to find the perfect collar or a one-of-a-kind piece that represents what your friend means to you. When worn out, sit down to let your pooch drink from a water bowl, while you enjoy your beverage and listen to the live bands.
See you at the 7th Annual Peaks and Paws at Squaw Valley Village on August 27th between 11 am and 7pm!
